Dr. Colman holds an MA from Washington University in St. Louis and an MS and PhD from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Following completion of her PhD, Dr. Colman did post-doctoral work at the Wisconsin National Primate Research Center (WNPRC). Currently, Dr. Colman is a Senior Scientist at the WNPRC where she leads the Energy Metabolism and Chronic Diseases Group and an Assistant Professor of Cell and Regenerative Biology in the School of Medicine and Public Health at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Dr. Colman’s research has focused on the use of nonhuman primate models for the study of aging and metabolism with a particular focus on the effects of long-term, adult-onset calorie restriction on morbidity and mortality.
