Internships

Turning a university education into a rewarding career can be challenging, but our internship program is designed to help students bridge the gap between their academic and professional lives.

Students complete fieldwork and participate in practicum discussions, learning how to apply the theories and concepts of the classroom to a real-world setting. The USC Davis School of Gerontology’s strong alumni network and outreach efforts have an exceptional record of placing students in valuable, enriching positions that have translated to post-graduate success.

Undergraduate internships are typically completed during the senior year, with a minimum of four units of credit (130 hours of fieldwork plus the practicum). Graduate internships require 240 hours of fieldwork.
