Ph.D. in Biology of Aging

Our newest Ph.D. program, this degree emphasizes the biological processes and aspects of aging, giving graduates the unparalleled experience of working closely with some of the world’s most foremost experts.

Ph.D. students will take a wide breadth of courses, including studying the physiology of human development and aging, the biological impact of stress on health and aging as well as special topics in neurobiology, health and medicine. While studying closely with a faculty mentor, Ph.D. students will have the opportunity to zero in on a specific area of interest and begin the extensive, exciting process of discovering their own academic specialization.

Students who graduate from our Ph.D. program will enter the workforce armed with the highest-level gerontological education available and will be primed to begin their own careers in research, service or education, having attained mastery over their particular area of interest.
