Director, Home & Community Based Services (HCBS)
ECS will have an addition to our family of companies and we are looking for the right dynamic, visionary Leader to help us build a thriving business. The Director will be responsible for developing strong working relationships with the residents, community staff, families and physicians. The right candidate will be able to market the availability of caregivers and companions to residents at our communities who need private duty services, and eventually to the communities outside our walls. The Director will be responsible for resident assessments, staffing, training and the operating budget. He or she must be able to understand and articulate the benefit of our services, clearly communicate contract details with people utilizing the services and have a proven history of good judgment and problem resolution. The position will be based out of Pasadena but will require about 70% travel to the communities.
Scheduling Coordinator/ Business Office Manager (HCBS)
This position will be managing the schedule for the private duty caregivers and companions, ensuring the accuracy of billing, and performing other bookkeeping duties. The right person for this position will be detail oriented, able to multi-task, and able to work independently and maintain a pleasant demeanor in an environment that may require quick thinking and action. Must have some experience in accounts payable/ receivable, strong computer skills, and experience creating staffing schedules.
Weekend LVN Supervisor
Do you know an LVN who thrives by working in different environments? Perhaps someone has weekday obligations? We have a great opportunity! The LVN supervisor will travel between the communities overseeing weekend care and staffing. Must have strong nursing and decision making skills, and be able to strong working relationships with the residents, community staff, and families and physicians.
FT/PT/OC Caregivers and Companions
Caregivers need to be First Aid certified and will assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, meals, etc.) Experience working with seniors preferred. May require drivers license and a clean driving record for certain positions. A companion is an entry-level position that will be performing “personal assistant” type of work (dog walking, grocery shopping, etc.)
Director, Affordable Housing w/Services
CHMS, part of ECS’ family of companies, manages independent, affordable housing for seniors, and we are expanding our programming by offering wellness and clinical services to the residents. The ideal person will be someone outgoing and innovative that is able to build relationships with residents to assess their needs and desires, and promote participation in program offerings. This position will research programs and resources and develop partnerships with the community at large. Must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and excited about building a program from the ground up. Degree in social work, gerontology, or nursing preferred. Based in Pasadena but will require 90% travel between the affordable housing units managed through Los Angeles and Orange counties.
Full-time LVN
The LVN will travel between the affordable housing communities conducting clinical assessments and coordinating care with medical staff. Must have strong nursing and decision making skills, and be able to strong working relationships with the residents, community staff, and physicians. Based in Pasadena but 90% travel required.
Part-time Administrative Assistant – MonteCedro Sales Gallery
Ideal for someone just entering or re-entering the workforce like a student or stay-at-home-parent. 20 hours per week, some nights/ weekends depending on event schedule. Requires a professional, pleasant phone demeanor, experience coordinating events, and basic Word and Excel skills. The position will be updating computer lists, compiling packets and information for sales staff, ordering supplies, and must be okay with tasks like making coffee, changing light bulbs and watering plants.
Resident Services Coordinator – Community Housing Management Services (Available Now!)
Responsible for developing relationships with the seniors living in the community managed by CHMS, performing assessments, and coordinating community services that help the resident to successfully age in place. Bachelor’s degree in social work, gerontology or related field required; MSW preferred. Must be knowledgeable of social services programs and community resources. Must be good with research, able to work independently, and use sound judgment. Experience working with seniors or the disabled helpful. Position located in the South Bay.
Internal candidates must be in their present positions for at least 6 months and be an employee in good standing to be considered for a transfer. All positions require the candidate to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and obtain background/ fingerprint clearance. Must have reliable transportation with a clean driving record. Policy prohibits current ECS staff from working as a private duty caregiver and holding another staff position at one of our communities simultaneously.
