Eligibility<\/h2>\n

We encourage applications from early-career scholars at USC and UCLA as well as non-USC institutions, <\/span>including:<\/span> Postdoctoral researchers, Tenure-track faculty, Research-track faculty. \u00a0Later career scholars can propose \u201cinnovative pilots\u201d <\/span>that test a new method or technique and\/or collect data <\/span>with a one-year <\/span>time-line<\/span> and no mentoring component.<\/span><\/p>\n

Proposals will be evaluated for<\/p>\n

(a) the quality and importance of the proposed research;
\n(b) relatedness of research to mission of the Center;
\n(c) likelihood that proposed work will result in R01 funding within 2 years;
\n(d) likelihood the research will result in important publications with insights into population health; and
\n(e) credentials of investigators \u2013 new investigators and investigators in underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.
