Black History Month: “Holding the Pieces” Film Screening

In honor of Black History Month, the USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology will host a free screening of the film Holding the Pieces. The USC Leonard Davis School Cultural Committee and Alzheimer’s Los Angeles will facilitate a panel discussion immediately following the screening.

About the Film

Holding the Pieces follows one family’s journey with Alzheimer’s disease and shows how, even in the hardest moments, love and connection endure. When Rose Yelder—a beloved mother and grandmother—begins showing signs of memory loss, her family is faced with difficult questions and emotional challenges as they navigate the healthcare system searching for answers.
