Undergraduate Students<\/h2>\n

Neuroscience and Aging Volunteer Research Assistant<\/b><\/h3>\n

Volunteer research assistants are needed to work in a translational neuroscience lab starting in Spring of 20223. Our team studies mechanisms of brain aging and how we can target protein quality control to combat and treat neurodegenerative diseases, with a focus on Alzheimer\u2019s disease (AD).<\/p>\n

We are looking for motivated students to join us! This position will involve the use of transgenic mice and in vitro models (cells) of healthy aging and AD, and apply a wide spectrum of techniques (molecular and cellular biology, transcriptomics and proteomics) to study Alzheimer\u2019s disease, physiological aging and autophagy.<\/p>\n

Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Ideally, MUST BE ABLE TO WORK DURING THE SUMMER (exceptions possible)<\/li>\n
  • 15-20 hours\/ weekdays (between 9AM-6PM)<\/li>\n
  • 1 year commitment minimum***<\/li>\n
  • previous lab experience is a plus (training will be provided)<\/li>\n
  • Start date March 2023<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    This is an unpaid position, with an option to transition to work-study\/research fellowship.<\/p>\n
