Postdoctoral Fellows<\/h3>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The Pike Lab is looking to recruit postdoctoral fellows to work on Alzheimer\u2019s disease pathogenesis. We seek hardworking, motivated researchers to lead studies in highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary NIH-funded projects that are investigating (1) the relationships among obesity, ApoE, and aging in driving development of AD, and (2) sex differences in the AD risk associated with ApoE4 with an emphasis on developmental factors. These studies employ a variety of approaches at the molecular, cellular, and behavioral levels. We focus on transgenic mouse models, but these projects include components ranging from cell culture to human subjects.<\/p>\n

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in neuroscience, biology, endocrinology, or a related field. Ideal candidates will have a strong history of productivity and experience with animal models, standard molecular biology techniques, ApoE biology, glial biology, histology and immunohistochemistry, behavioral analyses, and\/or bioinformatics.<\/p>\n

Graduate Students<\/h3>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The Pike Lab is always interested in training ambitious, dedicated graduate students wishing to pursue careers in science. We belong to both the USC Biology of Aging PhD Program and the USC Neuroscience Graduate Program.<\/a><\/p>\n

Undergraduate Assistants<\/h3>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The Pike Lab is committed to training undergraduate students wishing to pursue careers in biomedical fields.<\/p>\n

Undergraduate research assistants should expect to devote at least 10 hours per week to laboratory work.<\/p>\n
