Who is this training for?
The free online courses are available to direct care workers, in-home and community-based caregivers of older adults and people with disabilities and unpaid caregivers, family, and friends who want to learn more about taking care of an older adult or an adult with disabilities.
How do I take the training?
Our training program is delivered entirely online and is available in English, Spanish, and Mandarin. You can complete 21 courses at your own pace, including 16 general topics and 5 advanced topics, all from the comfort of your computer. Feel free to pause and return to any course as needed.
The course materials include videos, text, and interactive activities. The first two courses take about 1 hour each, while the general courses take approximately 2 hours, and the advanced courses take around 3 hours to finish. Each course includes quizzes to help you assess your knowledge. Please note that these training courses are self-paced and self-assessed via quizzes. No certificates will be issued.

What will I receive after taking the training?
You may take as many courses as you would like. However, please note that after completing an online course, you will NOT receive a certificate of completion. These courses are available for self-learning and self-assessment via course quizzes.
What is the cost?
The training is free. There is no cost to take the online training. Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for paid direct care workers, in-home and community-based caregivers, and unpaid caregivers to take the training courses.
