Positions

Postdocs

We are seeking a postdoc to study mito-nuclear communication in aging and age-related diseases based on recently discovered peptides encoded within the mitochondrial DNA, including MOTS-c.

Candidates should have, or will soon receive, a PhD in molecular/cellular biology, biochemistry, or a relevant subject area. Applicants with training in aspects of aging and age-related diseases, mitochondrial biology, and/or metabolism are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will work closely with the PI and collaborators.

Interested individuals should include a 1-2 page cover letter describing their professional goals, research experience, along with a current CV and the names and contact information of three referees to Dr.Lee at changhan.lee@usc.edu.

Graduate/Undergraduate Students

We are seeking highly motivated students to join us in studying various aspects of mitochondrial communication and regulation, including aging, cancer, diabetes, exercise, metabolism, immunity, and cell biology.

For undergrads, we recommend freshmen or sophomores, with a biology-related major, to apply for maximum research experience. Expect at least 10 hours/week in the lab.
