In addition, the sun is strong at this altitude so you may want to bring sun protectant. Of course all medications/treatments for altitude sickness and sun protectants can be bought in Colombia
Weather: Rain can occur, we recommend you bring an umbrella

In the El Dorado Airport there are ATM’s you can take cash out for taxis and such.
We recommend taking out about $100.00 USD. Credit cards are accepted most places.
Ground Transportation
Important Notice Regarding Uber in Colombia: Uber has an ambiguous legal status in Colombia. It is highly recommended to choose Uber XL (or premium) as it is the only Uber service permitted by the Colombian government. The use of other Ubers or similar ride-sharing services is considered illegal; however, these services continue to be widely utilized by both locals and tourists
What This Means for You: Uber vehicles in Colombia lack Uber signage or stickers. Make sure to confirm your Uber with license plate number. When using Uber, it’s common to sit in the front passenger seat
Plan Accordingly: It’s important to be mindful that certain areas, especially those near airports or major transport hubs, may exhibit heightened sensitivity or restrictions regarding the use of Uber
To/From Airport: You can get a Licensed Taxi at the airport, which will cost approximately $75.000 COP ($19 USD) to the conference hotel
Optional Van Service: We can help accommodate a van for people arriving at similar times. You will have to let the event organizers know
General: Otherwise it is recommended that you have a taxi called for you (e.g., by hotel or restaurant staff), or use an app for the local taxi companies (e.g., Tappsi)
