Overview

Joanna Davies, MD, graduated from UC Berkeley with a BA in Physiology. She completed her medical school education at the University of Southern California. She began her residency in Internal Medicine at The New England Deaconess Hospital, Harvard Medical School and completed her training in Rheumatology and Immunology at USC. She was in private practice in Glendale following her Fellowship training; but then moved to upstate NY to teach and do research at The Albany Medical College. Returning to California in 1996 she now teaches part time at USC’s Andrus School of Gerontology, is the Director of The Osteoporosis Center of Los Angeles, and is a Rheumatologist and Internist in downtown Los Angeles on the campus of The Hospital of the Good Samaritan.

Her clinical interests are in healthy aging for women, with a particular emphasis on prevention and treatment of Osteoporosis. She is the sole Rheumatologist on staff at the Hospital of the Good Samaritan, a University of Southern California affiliate.
