KPCC-FM spoke with Donna Benton on adult children moving away from their parents. “A good solution when you’re living far away is to know [the parents’] neighbors,” she said. “They’re your eyes and ears when you’re away. Keeping up those contacts with friends and neighbors is very important … You may not notice the day-to-day changes that a friend or neighbor may notice.”
