During the 2015 USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology Commencement Ceremony held May 15 in the Tutor Campus Center Ballroom, 112 unique educational journeys—from Gerontology minors to Doctor of Philosophy degrees—were celebrated as part of a multi-milestone year for the school.
Not only does 2015 mark the 40th anniversary of the Davis School and 50 years of the Ethel Percy Andrus Gerontology Center, it also marks the third year in a row that the Davis School has graduated its largest class ever, said Dean Pinchas Cohen.
In his closing remarks, he told the new alumni that they were not just part of the Trojan Family but also members of a tight-knit community devoted to furthering the school’s mission to improve the lives of older adults.
“You are part of the Davis School family,” Cohen said.
